Western Power Bollards can be secured directly in-ground (1800 L) but you can choose to secure your bollards using the Impact Recovery System to substantially reduce maintenance costs (making footings & bollards re-usable following severe impact).
NON-CONDUCTIVE BOLLARDS

Secured directly in-ground I withstand light impact and self recover. If badly impacted I need replacing.

SURFACE MOUNT IMPACT RECOVERY

I withstand light to medium impact and self recover. If badly impacted both the bollard and footing are re-usable.

NON-CONDUCTIVE BOLLARD COVERS

I am 190 mm O.D. used to make steel 150 mm Bollards Impact Resistant and non-conductive.
Use chart to determine most suitable installation method. Details below

Option 1.
In-ground
Advanced Polymer Bollards are made from a revolutionary new polymer that is not only non-conductive but also absorbs impact and recovers following multiple impacts.
Can be installed directly inground and will "flex" allowing for low speed impact without damage. To protect against more severe impact- Refer to Impact Recovery Bollards

Option 2 .
In-ground concrete filled
Bollards can be concrete filled, but that turns them back into rigid bolalrds- and this can happen! We suggest concrete filling only to ground level- reinforcing the bollard where most vulnerable to damage from impact but still allowing the bollard to "flex".
Please ensure bollards are placed a max of 1 m from the item to be protected. This ensures that if badly impacted the Advanced Polymer Bollard creates a safe protective shield between electricsal item and the vehicle.
Option 3 .
Impact Recovery
Bollards can be secured using Surface Mount or In-ground Impact Recovery System.
Unlike spring loaded bollards, Impact Recovery Bollards remain rigid, (providing protection and cannot be deflected by hand) but when impacted by a vehicle the bollard deflects up to a maximum of 20 degrees and slowly recovers.
Both the bollard and surrounding foundations remain re-usable following even severe impact.
