Advanced Polymer Bollard

Impact Resistant - flexible   

Advanced Polymer Bollards are rigid like a steel bollard, but wont chip, fade or dent like a steel one and they "flex" upon light impact (such as carpark impact) from a vehicle and recover without damage to vehicle. Any marks can be wiped clean.

Not cheap Plastic! These bollards resist warping fading and deformation better than recycled plastic alternatives. Refer to Specs for details.

Can be concrete filled

You can now purchase separate caps to enable bollards to be easily concrete filled. Please Note we do not recommend concrete filling them as it removes the ability to "flex" upon impact from vehicle

Improved resilience

If badly impacted the bollard and footings may need replacing- For improved reslience to impact refer to Impact Recovery option below.

Impact Recovery -
The Ultimate Carpark Bollard

Available in almost any colour in Steel, Stainless Steel or Advanced Polymer this bollards is rigid (cannot be deflected by hand)

 

This bollard uses Impact Absorbers to absorb vehicle impact and enable the bollard to deflect a maximum of 20 degrees (before hitting the strong resistance core) and slowly, safely recovering from vehicle impact

Reusable following severe impact

 

If badly impacted by a truck, or utility vehicle the low cost resistance core can bend and need replacing. Both the footings and bollard are re-usable and bollard is replaced in around 5 minutes.

Concrete filling bollards
 

Caps can be purchased to enable simple filling with concrete- Please Note concrete filling the bollard will remove the ability to "flex" upon impact and self-recover, increasing the impact force upon the footings and the chances of damage to the surrounding foundations. 

 

If badly impacted by a truck, or utility vehicle the bollards and surrounding footings may need replacing and because the bollard is filled with concrete, both the footings and bollard must be sent to landfill.

Based in Balcatta WA we stock non-conductive Safety Yellow Western Power Bollards made from UV Resistant Polymers that outlast and outperform other non-conductive bollards. They won't fade, dent or crack like traditional plastic or solid rigid recyled bollards. Because they have a heavy wall, but are hollow , they can absorb impact force and recover unlike solid bollards that simply fold upon impact. 

 

Our Advanced Polymer is highly durable material designed to withstand impact from a vehicle and the harsh Australian environment. Polyethylene is an efficient electrical insulator, making it great for applications where safety is paramount. We use a crosslinked UV stabilized HDPE, Ultra-High Molecular Weight Polyethylene thermosetting polymer providing excellent impact resistance, and durability. Suggest Impact Recovery System when bollards may be subject to severe impact.

Bike Paths 

Low Impact Safety Bollards were developed for MRWA to prevent vehicle entry to bike paths but also reduce the risk of injury to bike riders, reduce the cost of maintenance, preserve footpaths and surrounding paving and be removable to allow access for service vehicles. MRWA striping available

Shopfronts

An every day surface Mount bollard (and any lightweight bollard) will not prevent vehicle entry. For shopfronts we recommend surface Mount Impact Recovery to prove visual deterrent but Unground Impact Recovery to prevent vehicle entry

Disabled Bays

Unlike steel bollards, Advanced Polymer Bollards are far more durable and won't damage vehicles if impacted. They don't fade, dent or scratch like steel bollards and with no springs, bollards won't become "floppy" over time and cause litigation risks.

Dent resistant

Most plastic bollards / bollard covers are 1-3 mm thick, so dent and crack if impacted. ZERO bollards & covers are 7 mm thick (made from a material that will self-recover from impact) making them highly resistant to impact and denting - greatly improving resilience and lifespan
