Futureproofing our cities

“ Our selection is not based on price alone, we also took into consideration the safety and saving aspects. ZERO WASTE Unbreakable Foundations allow quick replacement of items with no further effort required to the base, (providing a significant cost benefit in replacing the damaged item by re-using the existing footing) and reducing risk of injury to employees by reducing time spent on traffic islands exposed to traffic.”

MAIN ROADS

Main Roads WA has been using ZERO WASTE Foundations for more than decade to improve the resilience and sustainability of WA roads

The implementation of ZERO WASTE Foundations has seen marked improvement in the cleanliness and safety of our roads in WA.

Shown here is a ZERO WASTE Foundation in asphalt that remains in pristine condition after more than a decade, following multiple impacts.

MAIN ROADS  GRAB-RAILS

Grab-rails are frequently installed on ZERO WASTE Foundations by both state and local government authorities for both new works and retro-fits.

They are easy to spot - not only are the foundations neat and tidy, all barriers remain perfectly aligned, safe and secure because they are installed using friction they do not become loose or unstable over time.

MAIN ROADS BOLLARDS

ZERO WASTE Traffic and pedestrian bollards are secured on ZERO WASTE Foundations and are easily removed by authorised persons to allow access; for wide loads or maintenance.

The ones shown here were installed more than decade ago and remain pristine condition (despite several major impacts).

Scarborough Beach front redevelopment, shown here, is an example of a a cleaner, safer, more sustainable development that costs a fraction to maintain.

This development remains in pristine condition and is a delight to see. Click here to view more photos of ZERO WASTE developments

SHOPPING CENTRES

Used by Western Power, councils, shopping centres, developers and private business to protect assets

Unlike cheap imported plastic bollards and covers, these non-conductive Safety Bollards are extremely durable and when secured using the Impact Recovery System will self recover from light impact, so great for shopping centres- and are made in WA.

They can also be used as extremely durable bollard covers to cover unsightly bollards that still have a good foundation - much cheaper than painting them and far more durable

CITY OF PERTH

We worked with City of Perth to develop means of securing their bollards using our ZERO WASTE Foundations.

We went one further and made the bollard strong enough to stop vehicle but also flexible enough to deflect and self recover from light impact, and re-usable following severe impact!

ZERO WASTE Impact Recovery Bollards are all over our city- you just can't tell if they are Impact Recovery or not (as they cannot be deflected by hand) and look just like regular in-ground or surface mount bollards

Now used by all major cities in WA , developers, industry and shopping centres to protect assets and pedestrians from errant vehicles
