When selecting a bollard

Most people are focused on the purchase price or on what the bollard looks like, (but a cheap bollard can cost thousands in repairs and a "good looking" bollard may not look the same in 3 months or 3 years' time). Traditionally people bought steel bollards and installed them directly in concrete but now there's far better alternatives and there's little wonder why WA's market leaders come to us

IN-GROUND BOLLARDS

When an in-ground Bollard is impacted either the bollard bends, or the foundations are disturbed- There's no good outcome so both the foundation and bollard must be removed and replaced.

SURFACE MOUNT BOLLARDS

When a surface Mount Bollard is impacted either the bollard bends, the base plate bends or rips from the ground- There's no good outcome and both the foundation and bollard must be removed and replaced.

REMOVABLE BOLLARDS

Removable bollards secured on metal sockets quickly become unstable & unsafe. They are not impact resistant as metal distorts upon impact, rusts and corrodes. We can make all our bollards removable & reusable

STAINLESS STEEL

If your bollard is just to delineate an area (indoors) then a stainless steel tube bollard is fine. If outdoors, then you need stainless steel pipe (we suggest satin finish). View govt warning about imported bollards.

STEEL

Steel bollards must be at least 5mm thick to prevent denting but if they will be impacted by vehicles we recommend impact recovery bollards to prevent access and make bollard and footings reusable following even severe impact.

ADVANCED POLYMER

 Our Advanced Polymer Bollards are UV stabilised and self healing. They are also 7 mm thick so outlast cheap plastic bollards. They don't fade, crack, dent, chip, rust or corrode. We keep looking' good year after year

1. Select your bollard

Choose from steel, stainless of Advanced Polymer (Standard units Safety Yellow but a range of colours are available) Ask for a colour chart

2. Select Installation

Bollards can be installed 350 mm depth or surface mounted using the Impact Recovery System and will be impact resistant at low to medium speed. 

3. Select depth

 350 mm depth is suitable for most situations and bollard is removable.  If subject to severe impact such a utility vehicles or trucks - you will need 650 mm depth Foundation

4. Striping

If you want reflective striping you can select from Red or White reflective striping or MRWA striping.
